I am moving. Retiring from my job as residential manager for Goodwood Property and moving to Wetaskiwin Alberta. Why Alberta? Both my Daughters and families live in Beaumont; just nicer to live near them and get the family back together again. I have missed watching the grandchildren grow-up. Besides, who could ever afford to retire in Vancouver area?
Why Wetaskiwin? Housing value for the buck. 3 bdrm, 2 bath, full basement with a detached dble garage on 6000 sqft lot for under $250m – find that anywhere in the lower BC mainland.
I really have to thank my daughter Stephanie and her husband for having the patience to find just the right home. Also Kelly Nelson of Coldwell Banker Panda for trudging through ice and snow over half central Alberta in March.
What I will miss most about Vancouver – grow everything gardens.
